📖 About Emotions Explorer
Emotions Explorer is a free social-emotional learning (SEL) game where children look at illustrated facial expressions and pick the emotion name from four choices. Happy, sad, surprised, angry — the game covers the full rainbow of human feelings.
The game introduces basic emotions on Easy (happy, sad, angry, scared), expands to nuanced feelings on Medium (excited, frustrated, confused, proud), and explores complex mixed emotions on Hard (nervous, disappointed, embarrassed, content).
Social-emotional learning is now recognised as a core life skill in modern education. Children who can accurately name emotions — both their own and others' — show better behaviour regulation, stronger friendships and improved academic performance. Emotions Explorer makes SEL as natural and fun as any other game.
